Consultation

CSDC provides consultative services upon request. Staff members frequently communicate with residence hall personnel and faculty members to answer questions and provide guidance regarding problematic situations that arise with students. CSDC also offers consultation to university departments targeted to reduce the stress levels of department members. Based upon qualitative and quantitative assessment, we offer recommendations to enable the department to reduce stress levels.

Educational presentations were conducted at several local schools and numerous presentations were made to hundreds of NIU students throughout the year. CSDC continued to provide sponsorship and staff for the ANAD (Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders) group. The guidelines developed for the outpatient treatment of students with eating disorders have now been distributed to almost 200 professionals nationwide.
