Drug & Alcohol Assessment & TreatmentHOW TO GET HELPThe Counseling and Student Development Center The Counseling and Student Development Center (CSDC)
provides confidential, individualized substance abuse evaluations of drug and
alcohol use. Individual therapy is
available for: 1) education about the effects of substance use, 2) recovery from an addiction, 3) resolving issues related to the impact of addiction on significant others, 4) relapse prevention. Group counseling for drug and alcohol education and relapse prevention is available, depending on demand. CSDC's substance abuse specialist also provides referrals and assistance to those interested in participating in self-help and 12 Step programs, and for students requiring medical detoxification, residential treatment, treatment in the Chicago suburban area, and DUI treatment.The Counseling & Student Development Center's Group for Adult Children of Alcoholics Resources for Adult Children of Alcoholics Ben Gordon Center, 756-4875.
